U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Jeffrey Lee receives a mortgage-free home on March 31st
U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Jeffrey Lee received a mortgage-free home from Building Homes for Heroes and Chase Bank in Lake Placid, Florida, on March 31, 2016.
“This is way more than I would have ever imagined,” Technical Sergeant Lee said to a local news outlet as he entered his new home with his wife, Donna, and their 17-year-old daughter, Amy.
Said his wife, Donna, “We just appreciate anybody and everybody who has had a hand in this for us. We are just ready to make some wonderful memories here with our daughter when she gets here.”
Having begun his service in the Air Force in 1988, Technical Sergeant Lee was grounded after he suffered a stroke in 2006, and was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 2009 after a blood clot formed in his leg.
Technical Sergeant Lee is a decorated veteran, having been awarded the Air Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Longevity Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, and many more commendations.
